Pillow Quest Privacy Policy

Pillow Quest is an iOS bedtime story app for parents. A parent provides a child’s first name, age, favorites, and bedtime so the app can create a personalized story.
Information We Process
Pillow Quest may process:
- Child profile details entered by a parent: first name, age, favorites, and bedtime.
- Generated story text and narrated audio.
- Recent story titles used to avoid repeating the same story idea.
- Purchase and credit information, including an Apple App Transaction identifier used as a “User ID” for credit tracking and support.
- Support information you choose to send by email.
- We do not create accounts, use analytics SDKs, sell personal information, or use advertising trackers.
Where Information Is Stored
Child profiles, bedtime settings, cached story text, and cached audio are stored locally on your device.
We do not store your child’s profile or generated child story content on our servers after the story request is completed. Our AWS Lambda service processes story requests in order to generate stories and narration. Operational logs are used for debugging and reliability, but they are not designed to include child names, favorites, full prompts, or full story text.
For purchase credits, we store the Apple App Transaction identifier and credit counters in AWS DynamoDB so we can track free, subscription, and purchased story credits.
Story Generation
When you request a story, Pillow Quest sends the child’s first name, age, favorites, recent story titles, request mode, and purchase-credit information to our AWS Lambda service over HTTPS.
Our Lambda service sends the story prompt to Anthropic to generate the story. For narrated stories, the generated story text is then sent to ElevenLabs to create audio. Because the story includes the child’s name, ElevenLabs may receive the child’s name inside the story text for narrated stories. Written-only stories are not sent to ElevenLabs.
Anthropic and ElevenLabs process this information as service providers under their own terms and privacy practices.
Payments
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple through StoreKit. We do not receive your Apple ID, payment card number, or full billing details. We use Apple transaction identifiers only to manage story credits, subscriptions, purchase support, and fraud prevention.
Children’s Privacy
Pillow Quest is intended for parents to use on behalf of their children. Parents control what child information is entered. We use child information only to generate the requested bedtime story and narration, not for advertising, tracking, or resale.
Your Choices
You can remove local app data by deleting the app from your device. You can contact us about support records or credit records associated with your User ID.

Security
We use HTTPS for network requests. Provider API keys are kept out of the iOS app and are managed through AWS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we limit server-side storage and avoid analytics or advertising SDKs.

We may update this policy as Pillow Quest changes. The effective date above shows when this policy was last updated.
